John Keats

“Beauty is truth, truth beauty.”
The life

A trained apothecary who wrote his great odes in a single year, aged twenty-three, while nursing his brother and dying of tuberculosis himself. He died in Rome at twenty-five.

He made sensuousness philosophical: the poem that feels most also thinks hardest.
